CPD Training Workshops
In-Situ Europe has been providing professional training in the use of groundwater and surface water equipment - since 1991 - to individuals and companies throughout the UK, Ireland and the wider EU.
Using this experience and our in-house hydrogeological and technical expertise we have developed a series of 1 day training courses, providing up to date guidance for groundwater and surface water monitoring. We can also offer bespoke in house training tailored to your specific needs, please call for a quotation.
We offer two CPD endorsed courses:
When faced with differing hydrogeology, borehole and well constructions, what options do you have? Does the methodology you use produce "representative" water samples?
Including low flow and no-purge groundwater sampling methods.
How reliable and accurate are data loggers in the field? Are all loggers the same? Steps to take to improve the accuracy of measurements in the field.
A practical guide to data loggers and how to improve field accuracy.

Training is led by Peter Dumble, Hydrogeologist, and founder of Waterra UK Limited, who now operates as a consultant for In-Situ Europe under his own company, Peter Dumble Hydrogeology.
Peter has over 30 years experience as a hydrogeological consultant and is the principal technical author of the current Environment Agency and SEPA guidance for monitoring leachate, groundwater and surface waters at landfill sites. Many of the principles from the Environment Agency guidance have since been incorporated into BS ISO 5667-11:2009 and BS ISO 10175:2011.
Peter is assisted by a team of experienced colleagues from In-Situ.
Who Should Attend?
Courses are designed for those who are looking to update and refresh their knowledge as well as for those new to modern monitoring methods.
